Therapeutic Massage at Meraki
Meraki offers a unique style of massage that is a therapeutic blend of swedish, deep tissue, lomi-lomi & myofascial work. By listening to the body, the tissue & the muscles as the therapist works, deeper strokes are slow, gentle, not painful and effective.

What is Meraki doing to keep Massage Therapy
safe, and protecting you during the Covid-19 Pandemic?
Before you enter the Center...
You will be asked to take your temperature at home right before you leave to come to your appointment. Why is Meraki not taking your temperature? There are many variables that make your core temperature rise. Sitting in a warm car is one of them. I believe that I will have a more accurate reading of your health, if you take a resting temperature at home. I am trusting that I can use the "Honor System" with my clients and have you tell me what your temperature was when you took it. If you take it at home and it is 100 or higher, you will need to call me and I will reschedule your appointment. If you do not have a thermometer or you are coming straight from work, please let me know and I will take your temperature when you arrive.
You will also be asked a few Covid-19 related questions and you will be asked to sign a waiver stating that you are in good health to receive a massage. The waiver also states that you understand that Meraki is not liable if you contract Covid-19 or any other communicable disease while at Meraki.
You will be asked to sanitize your hands before entering the Center.
What to expect once you are inside the center...
This video is showing you the new way to dress the face cradle so that you do not have to wear a face mask while laying face down during a massage.
Meraki will be following all the state guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing protocols during this pandemic. While Meraki kept clean standards in the past, I am going the extra mile to make sure that everything is as safe as I can make it, so that it is ready for you when you arrive. It is my hope that your time here is relaxing and stress free.
I made it a point to put this "Joyful" picture above the cleaning supplies. Why? Because even though these are scary times, I am overjoyed that I am still able to spend time with you and help you find some peace of mind during this stressful time.
All clients, for the time being, will have to wear a face mask for the duration of their visit at Meraki, including while receiving their massage.
I will be wearing a mask as well, and during the massage, I will also be wearing a shield, pictured above. This is to protect you, and myself.
Unfortunately, at this time, the State of Connecticut is mandating that we, (massage therapists) must enforce the "no mask, no service" guideline.
Clients are finding that the non-medical, disposable mask (pictured below) are the best ones to receive a massage with. They are light, breathable, have the nosepiece that keeps it on you and because it's disposable, you don't need to worry about having to wash the massage oil out of it from your massage.
