Meditation at Meraki
What is Mindfulness Meditation?
Learning to use your breath to connect with yourself, your body & your mind. It is very relaxing & calming to the entire body system. Meditating in a group setting is a fun & healthy way to socialize, meet new people & learn a new skill together.
Each group session is different & each meditation will be guided by Kim, who is trained in Meditation, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) & Neuroplasticity. You will learn many different styles of meditation & ways to slow your mind.
Come, be comfortable & share space...let the soothing sounds of the water fall take you away, while the deep gong of the large wind chimes lull you into a rhythm with your breath.
Learn, relax, have fun & feel nurtured, all within the safe space of Meraki.
Every Wednesday Evening at 7pm.
Ages 18 & up
Light refreshments & fellowship to follow.
Registration is required. No walk-ins.
Meditation for Children
Kids are under just as much stress as adults these days and sometimes with no idea how to deal with it. Teaching children to breathe, have body & mind awareness & to be more in tune with themselves will help them to feel more in control of how their day is going and will also help them articulate how they are feeling.
Meraki uses the "Monkey Mind" Meditation Deck for the kids meditation groups for a fun and interactive way to teach kids to meditate. Using games, stretching & movement activities helps kids realize that meditation comes in many forms, besides sitting in the typical "cross your legs-ohm style" meditation stance.
Saturday Mornings at 9am
$5 per child (cash only)
Registration Only. No walk-ins.
*Covid-19 Update: (as of June 17, 2020)
